That's about all the fine print I can think of right now, so on with the show... *****************************************************************************************************

This candy container was made during the early 1920s in Germany. The container opens from the bottom, which is black paper over cardboard. The cat is made from a detailed, heavy composition. He is jauntily festooned with a crepe paper bow tie. The item measures ~4.5" high.   PRICE: $325.00

This is the rarest item being offered in this year's sale - bar none. It is a sugar shaker from the adult-sized porcelain tea set made beginning in 1913 in Germany for perhaps as few as two seasons. (In my book, I incorrectly identified it as a salt or pepper shaker.) If you collect items from any of the three sets comprising this genre (adult, child and mini) you may want to consider acquiring this. I was fortunate to acquire a very large assemblage of the adult-sized porcelain items in 2003. There were three sugar shakers total. I sold one in 2003 and retained the other two. Once I realized that they were not a matched pair, my interest in retaining two waned some. Outside of the three in this 2003 acquisition, I have never seen another anywhere in any collection no matter how impressive. This exquisite item measures ~4.25" high and is in perfect condition. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my Inner Sanctum section of my book on page 117.   PRICE: $1,800.00

This hard-to-find band hat was made by Beistle in the early 1940s as an adjunct to their pirate face diecut that began to be made in 1932. The interior honeycomb is completely intact. The hat measures ~7.5" high by ~11.25" long and is in very fine condition. PRICE: $50.00

This is a very hard-to-find 1940s Beistle witch face transparency in near-mint condition. The green insert is perfect and the candle holder has never been used. The only blemishes I can find is a line ~1" long right above the left side of the mouth as you look at the photo and two pinholes at the very top, not at all noticeable unless upon close inspection. (I'm not sure what the ~1" line is as it does not go through to the back.) It stands ~8.5" high.  PRICE: $160.00

This rare three-sided witch face shade was made by Gibson in 1929. It measures ~7" high by ~6.25" wide by ~4" long. There was meant to be a triangular piece of black construction paper that would fit inside through which a light bulb would be inserted for illumination. Although easily made, this is missing. The condition is "good," with a bend to one hat and some minor staining to each face. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 200.  PRICE: $65.00

This boxed set of Capri candles has a copyright date of 1965 on the eye-catching box. The box measures ~5" high by ~3" wide and has 3 of the 4 original generic orange candles extant. The box is in very fine condition. PRICE: $16.00

This jointed scratch cat was made in the late 1950s - early 1960s by Beistle. It measures ~12.75" high by ~14.25" wide. Except for some toning differences visible in the photo (definitely not as apparent to the eye), it is in near-mint condition. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 122.          PRICE: $25.00

This highly embossed German broomed witch diecut was made in the 1920s and measures ~8" high.   PRICE: $45.00

This Krampus string-jointed diecut was made around 1910 in Germany. It measures ~10" high by ~8" wide with his arms fully extended. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 169.   PRICE: $150.00

This non-embossed jointed dancing witch was issued by Beistle in the 1960s and marketed as having "Swingin Watusi Action." It measures ~14.5" high by ~5.5" wide. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 139.   PRICE: $15.00

This non-embossed jointed dancing skeleton playing guitar was issued by Beistle in the 1960s and marketed as having "Swingin Watusi Action." It measures ~14.25" high by ~8.5" wide. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 134.         PRICE: $15.00

This band hat was issued by Beistle from the 1930s through the 1950s. Measuring ~3.5" high by ~11.5" long, it is in unused, mint condition.  PRICE: $15.00

This scarecrow honeycomb mask hat was issued by Beistle from 1938 until 1954. It measures ~11.75" high by ~11.5" wide and is in mint condition except for a few of the honeycomb ends visible in the photo. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 208.  PRICE: $40.00

This witch honeycomb band hat was issued by Beistle from 1938 until 1954. It measures ~9.75" high by ~11.5" wide and is in near-mint condition. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 204.  PRICE: $40.00

This scary witch face mask was made in the 1930s by an unknown manufacturer. It measures ~10.75" high by ~8" wide and is in mint, unused condition. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 244.  PRICE: $20.00

This candy box with a white cloth handle was made in the later 1950s by an unknown manufacturer. The box is flat and doesn't appear to have been ever assembled. It measures ~4" high by ~6" wide.
PRICE: $20.00

This oblong tin litho ratchet was made in the 1950s by T. Cohn. It measures ~5.25" high and has a red wood handle. Overall the condition is fine, with some paint flecks off at the bottom and a small dent on one side not visible when displayed. This is the very item photographed for and appearing in my book on page 183.         PRICE: $25.00

This very hard-to-find party scene tin litho ratchet was made during the 1920s by Chein. It measures ~4" in diameter. Although the front imagery is very fine, the yellow back is somewhat dirty and there is a dent along the rim not visible when displayed.  PRICE: $65.00

This superb Tuck's Series 150 post card is postmarked 10/31/1908! As you can see, even though it has been postally used, the condition is very fine with no bends, no creases and with fairly sharp corners.
PRICE: $50.00

This 1950s booklet of Halloween Silhouette Seals by Eureka is complete and in mint condition. Containing 42 seals in 7 different designs, the booklet measures ~2.75" high by ~5.5" long.           PRICE: $20.00

This Halloween Pie game was issued by Beistle in 1948. There were three series of these pies. This is Series I. Measuring ~6" in diameter, this item is in mint condition. PRICE: $85.00

This piece of German scrap was made between 1910 and 1920. It shows Krampus, their dark angel of Christmas. This full-face version is disturbing! I especially like its bloodshot eyes. This scrap measures ~5.25" high. It has a soft crease noticeable in the scan. The scan does make it appear much worse than it actually is. However, taking that into account...PRICE: $20.00

This party invitation was made during the 1920s, probably by Whitney. Measuring ~3" high by ~4.25" wide, it is mint and comes with its original envelope.  PRICE: $16.00

This Art Deco inspired owl tally was made by Gibson and released in the later 1920s. It is identical to one shown in my second edition on page 220. It measures 3" square and is in unused, mint condition. PRICE: $20.00

This Art Deco inspired tally showing a cauldron with bats was made in the later 1920s and has no identifiable mark, except that of being made in the USA. I love the use of gold hues in the item, an unusual characteristic. It measures ~5" high and is unused, mint condition. PRICE: $22.00

This seldom seen party invitation with a fairy motif was made in the later 1920s, probably by Whitney. It measures ~5" long and is in mint condition. PRICE: $29.00

This wonderful invitation was made by an unknown manufacturer around 1922. It measures ~2.5" high by ~5" wide. Accompanied by its original plain white paper envelope, not shown, this invitation is in near mint condition with a few flakes of color off at the bottom margin. PRICE: $29.00

This early 1920s tally with subtle imagery was made by Masters as part of their Unique Line - and is so marked. This tally is in mint condition. PRICE: 24.00

This elegant lady tally was made in the mid-1920s by The Buzza Company of Minneapolis. It measures ~5" high by ~3.25" wide and is in mint condition. PRICE: $12.00

This place card was made by Beistle in 1920 and was originally part of a set of three different designs sold in an envelope of six. As with many of their designs, this one was well-thought out. This card was meant to be suspended from the edge of a glass. When seen at all, most of the time the hanging tabs in the middle are missing. Not so with this example. This is mint and is actually a richer orange-red than shown in the scan. PRICE: $35.00

This complete, enveloped set of 8 paper doilies was made by Whitney in the late 1920s. The doilies measure ~8" in diameter. This is the first and only example I've ever seen complete with a glassine envelope. PRICE: $180.00

This witch face place card was probably made by Hallmark in the early 1930s. Except for the tiniest bit of wear at the extreme end of the hat, this piece is without flaw. The card measures ~4.25" long by ~4.25" high. PRICE: $12.00

This wee Halloween-themed cup was made by the Individual Drinking Cup Company of Easton, PA (Dixie Cup) in 1933. It measures ~1.75" high and is in mint condition. PRICE: $18.00
